Levi's Iron Palace 501's

We can never get enough of the 501. Levi’s has just launched the ‘Iron Palace Repaired Straight Jean’ designed after a 1940s pair of 501’s which were found in a thrift store in Vancouver. The jeans were patched with the same fabric, indicating that the original was the second pair the owner had and had sacrificed his original to help keep his second alive; the damages and patches on the modern day Iron Palace are aged to a six month level of wear for authenticity. The name Iron Palace is the name of a famous brothel in Monterey, Levi Strauss’ home town and the building now stands as a bar on Main Street, Monterey.

The nature of the Levi’s Vintage collection, means that all the pieces are one of a kind and are made in extremely low quantities, guaranteeing their exclusivity and appeal. The Iron Palace Jeans are available now on my-wardrobe.com.

Dr. Martens opens at Vintage at Goodwood

Everybody is gearing up and getting excited about what is going to be the best new festival of the year. A very English weekend of dressing up and lashings of ginger beer, Vintage at Goodwood has really caught people's imaginations. Celebrating "British Cool” by combining the best of contemporary music, fashion, art, design and culture from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, Vintage at Goodwood plays hosts to a retro style shop from Dr. Martens.

Dr. Martens is one of many brands to open a Bespoke pop-up store on the festivals 'High Street'. Mixing a blend of the old and new, the products will include the vintage lines that are still produced in Dr. Martens original factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, accompanied by a host of other brand defining styles.

There will also be a host of special in-store activities ranging from DJ sets to band signing sessions.

Each Day between 12-2pm the Dr. Martens store will have an additional in store service hosted by Rachael Taylor and Barney Trattles from I-Saw where consumers will be able to have their DM's customised or their clothes graffitied for a small fee which will be donated to charity.

Pointer X Comme des Garcons

The latest addition to Pointer's collaboration book is Comme des Garcons, the Japanese fashion brand. Comme des Garcons chose the Pointer Tanju, Barajas II and Angus for this collaboration and each style is available in black, brown and white.
