There have been some recent disturbing sightings in London of guys in black leggings. Two in as many weeks have been spied on the streets. You have to do a double take, you think they may be wearing extra skinny skinny jeans but instead they look like they are wearing Long Johns without the trousers. Not good.
Anyway, gets me to my point, Uniqlo have just launched their new HeatTech thermal underwear campaign as shot by Mario Testino.
The Uniqlo HeaTTech collection was launched in the UK last winter and was an instant success as temperatures dropped and Uniqlo customers sought out ways to stay warm yet stylish. Jointly developed by Uniqlo and world leading textile manufacturer Toray Industries, HeaTTech has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2003. Sales reached 28 million units globally last winter alone.
Using a fabric which includes a rayon mix that absorbs moisture from the body and converts it to heat helping create warmth in the winter weather. Milk proteins, containing natural amino acids, are also combined within the fibres to ensure the fabric is silky smooth to the touch so that it works naturally as thermal innerwear during the colder seasons. The Autumn Winter 2009 colour palette is a bold, punchy rainbow of colour featuring everything from neon greens and yellows to dense purples and fuchsia pinks and include new cropped leg long johns for men. Priced from £6.99.
