Marks & Spencer's recent Autumn/Winter press day had this standout velvet jacket. I've been having a bit of a Tom Ford for Gucci circa '96 moment of late. Looking back at the old Gucci ads. with the guy in the red velvet suit, it's so very luxuriously louche and decadent, perfect for this coming winter.
Velvet is such a great material for holding colour. M&S has this colour, a berry purple and also a red and black. Cotton velvet, it has really nice details; tipping around the lapel and on the pockets and they styled it nicely with the pocket handkerchief and small bow-tie.
