Xtra Factor - Dermot O'Leary

The best styled person on the X-factor isn't a contestant or one of the judges but the host. While the programme might appeal to the lowest common dominator, Dermot O'Leary has really stepped up the style ante with a sharp combination of three piece suits and block colour ties.

For somebody short and stocky like Dermot, he's really making the best of himself. He always looked pretty decent but this series he's gone to the next level, understatedly chic; a more grown-up and mature look of horseshoe cut waistcoats and double breasted jackets. Word on the fashion grapevine is that he hasn't been scrimping on the clothes and this stuff ain't cheap. Labels he is wearing include Spencer Hart, Thom Sweeney, Edward Sexton, RAKE and Hardy Amies suits. Shoes by JM Weston, Prada, Russell & Bromley and Cleverley and Bespoke shirts by Emmett and ties by E Tautz.

The tie is the most important element, he could go bright "look at me" silks but instead has used a slim - note, not skinny - tie in a block colour of brown or blue wool. Looking good Dermot.
