What was coming through was sandals and socks - this raises it head every couple of years - sporty running shoes with smart clothes, anything shiny - Magpie Chic! - busy prints all put together and walking Pop Art.

Top shows were Prada who went back to its minimal best, Burberry Prorsum which is the men's trend setter and Salvatore Ferragamo who gave us a bold and smiley collection of colour. Here are all TheChicGeek's favourite looks from Milan:
