Jake Gyllenhaal is the perfect example of where we are right now in menswear. He's 'dressed' but not overdressed. He's smart but cool. He's refined but relaxed.
Nobody wants to look like a try hard, especially on the red carpet and Jake's look would translate easily for any guy in a formal occasion. Here he is in four single breasted 2 button suits from the Autumn/Winter 2010 Burberry collection. Simple and chic, they aren't trying to say too much. Everything is pared back to a palette of rich base colours but it's the shoes or in this case the boots which show individuality. Slightly scruffy or with a patent toe it adds a youthful and confident touch. Bravo Jake.
Even Christopher Bailey of Burberry has something to say about Jake
"Jake is a hugely talented actor and he always looks immaculate whether he's in a suit or a trenchcoat and jeans and I love his attitude to dressing and his own personal style."
