Use it or lose it, that's the message behind Slendertone's new male face toning machine. Promising to do for your face what the gym does for your body, the Slendertone Face for Men is a smart bit of kit. Clinically proven to tone the muscle structure of the face which is made up of over 10 muscle groups. Slendertone Face for Men builds muscle volume and density to help maintain a strong foundation that will keep your skin looking firm, youthful and full of energy.
Small yet perfectly formed, it resembles a simple pair of headphones and control pad. Instead of going on top of your head, it goes around the back with the pads fixed firmly somewhere on the line between your ear and nostril. It comes with a set of 12 sticky gel pads which you place on the part that touches the face and replace weekly.
You place on the face, turn on, select which programme, and then increase the intensity on either pad to a level which is comfortable yet still working the muscles. It's a strange sensation at first but you can really feel the muscles contracting. The programme lasts about 20 mins and is recommended 5 times a week and after 12 weeks you should start seeing real results.
Five times a week does sound a lot so I recommend leaving it on your coffee table as a reminder and just using it when you're watching TV. If anybody asks it's a new MP3 player!
Because it is a physical process you can understand clearly how it works; flexing the muscles in the face will make them more defined and stronger. I didn't notice radical results overnight which isn't the point and neither would that happen if going to the gym which is how you should think about this machine.
It doesn't need recharging very often which is a major plus and is neat and compact. It is quite pricey but definitely more cost effective and less painful than a face lift which unless you want to shave behind your ears I would never recommend.
