There can't be many men that are described as "Orchidaceous", but this is exactly how this gentleman was described by his close friend Osbert Sitwell. Painted in 1926 by Philip Steegman, this is a portrait of man-about-town David Horner now in Brighton's Museum. He is wearing one of the suit shapes of the season, the six-button double breasted with a very tasteful shirt and tie combo, love the pearl tie-pin. The red carnation could be a little too blind date but this exactly how we should be looking right now. A true historical ChicGeek.
