Popped into the Paul Smith's Winter 2010 preview today. Sir Paul has continued with the cropped and slender shapes in the mainline/catwalk collection and things just keep getting better. Loved this Ulster style coat in black cashmere, it added a new dramatic touch to a traditional menswear staple, the double breasted coat. I saw the start of this trend last Winter with the Moschino Ulster Coat I was crazy about - Click Here and I think this Winter it will continue to be just as dramatic and Victorian. He also did a daring cape in navy and black. I tried it on, but will be a hard one to pull off. I'd like to see how this one is styled. Other highlights included dinner jackets with deco detailing on the lapels, fishing print shirts, a silk bib fronted dress shirt and a bouclé style herringbone and black tweed coat. Gorgeous.
