Moschino menswear had taken something of sabbatical from these shores which was a shame because the mainline was pretty good. I recently noticed a new Moschino section pop-up in Selfridges and the men's buyer there, Sam Lobban, picked up on it his Buyer's Guide.
What we missed was the fun and it's time we got it back. The tongue-in-cheek irony that made the clothes playful was a clever and surreal fun, a wit that many find hard to pull off. Moschino always do great prints and trompe l'oeil effects. So it's a welcome return to Moschino and if it means we have to put up with a few slogans, hearts or CND symbols then so be it!
