We always knew Mr Porter was going to be good. The financial muscle of Richemont with the online expertise of Net-a-porter has given birth to the first truly luxury men's online retail site. The first thing that hits you is how editorial it is. It's not screaming the 'Buy Now' desperation of a lot of sites. It's tone is to inform and inspire, knowing full well that a few clicks away is the world's finest menswear. It's a really good edit, bypassing the 'fashion' opting instead for style. Not expensive for expensive sake, it knows the classics regardless of price. This isn't a website which will buy a few pieces just to be able to list the brand, they will buy whatever is good. We like the style facts on each item, the famous male icons and the stylepedia is like our very own Geekipedia. The styling is simple yet cool and everything gels well together. The start of another great British brand. Here are our choice first pics from Mr Porter.
