We saw this photograph for sale on eBay. It was taken in July 1953 of two men wearing traditional lederhosen.

There's something amazing about lederhosen - don't get us started. But it's the other details to take inspiration from - the patterned socks; sort of Fair Isle meets snowflakes or the light cropped jacket in textured wool, very Thom Browne. On younger guys this could be Thom Browne on a Bavarian adventure. The thickness of the socks is great and works with the open sandals. The plume on the hat might be too costume but imagine without. Great image.
