Forget the fashion mafia, this Summer it’s all about the fashion raffia. This humble palm has become the fashion garnish of the season. Sprinkled on parkas, shoes and tops, this lightweight palm adds Summer texture. Kim Jones made his into T-shirts and sweaters in his first menswear collection at Louis Vuitton. Christopher Bailey used raffia to accentuate his tribal/African collection at Burberry Prorsum and Korean brand Wooyoungmi used finely woven raffia in bags and tops.
