Berluti is one of those labels where if you have to ask the price, you definitely can't afford it. Founded in 1895 by Italian Alessandro Berluti, is was famed for its pointy shoes but now has moved into ready-to-wear.
Owned by LVMH, they have poached designer Alessandro Sartori from Z Zegna to design a full men's collection. This season is the first, full collection and features a predominantly grey and black collection of luxury pieces. An oligarch capsule wardrobe of tailoring, knitwear and accessories, Berluti joins the rich male wardrobe providers such as Brioni, Tom Ford and Zegna in this money-no-object ethos to dressing. It will be interesting to see if they can pry these big spending customers away from the other labels.
